SOILRes was presented at the Journée Techniques de Conservation des Sols (TCS) 2025, a major event dedicated to soil conservation and sustainable agricultural practices, held on 18 December 2025 at the LEGTA of Vendôme, France.
During the afternoon scientific session, Dr. Sébastien Fontaine, Research Director at INRAE, presented recent research results on the use of permanent grassland as a living cover to enable direct-seeded wheat production. His presentation addressed the synchronization of carbon and nitrogen cycles as a key lever for improving soil functioning and crop performance. In this context, Dr. Fontaine also introduced SOILRes, outlining its objectives and scientific framework.
The Journée TCS 2025 brought together researchers, farmers, advisors, and agricultural stakeholders to exchange knowledge on soil health, energy efficiency, biodiversity, and agronomic innovation. The inclusion of SOILRes in this programme highlights the project’s relevance and its strong connection with both scientific research and practical field applications.
